Boost Your Income With RESIDUAL Affiliate and Reseller Programs

Hey guys! It’s Lisa here today to talk to you about residual income.  And when I say residual income, I mean getting paid from one person over, and over, and over again as an Affiliate or a Reseller.  So let me give you a prime example.  You guys normally talk about site building and site sale.  Will they have one of the best lifetime commission affiliate programs on the plan?  That is what I am concerned – because of the high commissions and the residual effect.  For example, when somebody – let’s say, you recruit your mom or dad to buy site building to your affiliate link.  You would get $75, right?  That’s what they pay.  That’s about a 25%-30% commission.   Well, when your mom or dad renews their subscription next year at the same time, you’ll get that $75 again.  Now, that doesn’t sound like a lot of money when you just talk about one person.  Let’s say you recruit 10 people this month to buy site building.  That’s $750 roughly.  Well, you also get that $750 again next year when they renew their subscriptions.  So imagine, if you recruit people to a certain product that pays residual income, you know, month after month after month, you keep getting new customers over time.  As the years progress, you continually build up your income, because it is residual.  And I doubt you may not know this, but that is a big reason why I was able to quit my 9 to 5 job back in 2006.  I’ve joined a couple of lifetime commission affiliate and reseller programs that were paying me over and over and over again.  And they can be very lucrative, because it’s like talk about making your money work for you, I mean, recruiting one person to a product and then getting paid by that person over and over and over again, and then multiplying that by 10, 15, 20, 30 customers over time.  So, these lifetime residual affiliate programs can be very, very, very lucrative if you of course, have the traffic and find products that work well for your audience. 

Now, I did not make this video to tell you to join site-sellers affiliate program or to join the domain name and hosting reseller program that I joined, because for 99.8% of you, you won’t make the kind of money I am making because you don’t have the type of website with the kind of traffic I have.  It’s only years, years, and years, and lots of hard work to build up to the level that I am at.  That doesn’t mean you cannot get to my level.  But I am just saying the point of this video was not for me to tell you to join the site-seller affiliate program or to join the domain name and reseller program that I belong to.  You can if you want, I would love to have you in my domain.  But I don’t want you wasting your money.  Well, site-sellers affiliate program is actually free.  But to resell domain name and hosting at the reseller program that I belong to, that actually is not free.  It costs you 69 bucks per year.  And that’s the only thing I want to talk about.  My large reason, again as I mentioned before, that I was able to quit my full-time job was that I started reselling domain names and web hosting back in 2002, when I launched my website.  And over the last 7 years, I have generated 13,000-14,000 customers to my reseller store to buy domain names and hosting.  So over time, if you think about how domains and web hosting works, domains are renewed yearly and hosting is renewed monthly.  So as these 13,000-14,000 people continue to renew their hosting plans or domain names, I get a percentage of every one that those customers bill.  So when they go pay their bill, their $399 every month, I get a cut of that as a reseller.  So the great thing about residual income is if my websites were to die today, just to say, a bit of my site was hacked, they were just taken down for whatever reason, I would still be generating money from the site-seller residual commissions, my domain name and web hosting residual commissions that I’ve generated over the past 12 years.  It takes a lot of work, but it’s definitely a great setup if you can get it to work for you. 

So, what can you do if you want to find residual programs like this?  There is one site out there, but I have not learned quite a lot.  It was created by Alan Godyne, the king of affiliate programs, and if you haven’t been to his site and you are serious about being an affiliate, then you are missing a treat.  Because there is a lot of great information on his site about how to get started with affiliate marketing.  He is actually my mentor, and one of the reasons I am where I am today, I used to devour everything on Alan’s site.  He also created another site and it is basically a directory of affiliate programs, kind of, like site builders or site sellers affiliate programs that pay you lifetime commissions, that residual money.  So you sign up one person and they continue to pay their bill and you get a commission every time they renew their billing or pay on the product again.  That’s residual income, and Alan’s site is like a directory.  So let’s say, you have a site on cosmetics and you are looking for affiliate programs or residual-paying affiliate programs in the cosmetics topic or theme.  Then you just go to that site and do a search and read up all the programs and find the ones that work best for your site.  Again, please do not leave me a comment asking me, “Lisa! What programs have you joined that you recommend?”  I have put the ones that I recommend in the box over here on the right-hand side.  But again, if you do not have a site that gets 12,000-13,000-14,000 visitors a day like I do in my site and if you do not have the same kind of audience that I have, then you’re not going to make the same kind of money that I am making.

Again, the point of this video is not to tell you to join what I joined.  The point is to show you how lucrative residual and lifetime commission affiliate programs can be, if you find ones for your niche – that’s the key.  Find ones, and if you go to Alan’s site, you will find a listing of programs and they are broken down by category.  That’s very important.  Let’s say for example, you have a site that gives dating advice or relationship advice and know the similar common dating sites.  Some of them have lifetime commission affiliate programs.  So let’s say, on your site you say, “Hey! Sign up the -.com”  Not only will you get the, let’s say – I don’t know what their commission structure is – but let’s just say for the sake of this argument that they give you a 10% commission on 30 bucks a month.  So let’s say you get 5 people to sign up this month for the –.com site at 10% for a $30, that is $3 per person.  So for those 5 people, you get $15.  Does sound like, “Okay, $15.  That’s great.”  But, just think – next month, when those 5 people renew their –.com subscriptions, you get that $15 again, and next month, again, not to mention all the other new people who have joined that month.  So over time, the money will be getting to snowball.  So after being involved in the –.com affiliate program for 5-6 years, assuming that your site still has the same amount of traffic or greater, you will be rolling in dollars in the next 4-5 years.  So let’s say if it wasn’t for residual income, I probably would still be – well, I am not at this point, but – would not have been able to quit my 9 to 5 job as early as 2006.  That residual income, sort of, gave me a comfort zone.  So I want to say, well you know what, even if my new sales drop off specially at this time during the recession, even if I had not been benefitted too much during this recession, it’s still nice to know that I have that residual income coming in from my existing commissions that I have earned years, years, and years ago.  So if you are looking to get into this affiliate marketing, then look for lifetime commission affiliate programs, look for reseller programs for products that have recurrent billing.  Even ClickBank.com, I believe, has some products that have a recurrent billing schedule, which means if you refer somebody to one of the products, not only will you get commission for that sale, but you also get commission when that customer renews their subscription to that product or whatever it may be.

So, look into those residual affiliate programs and check out Alan’s site.  It is a great site, and depending on your niche, you can find programs that fit your audience.  Good luck, and hope you make lots of money!  See you later.  Bye bye!
